We, Erica of Priceless Creations & Nicki of Muñeca Mayhem, have been the closest of friends for over 20 years (WOW, does that make a girl feel old!) We both have a love for the classic retro look & in our own art forms empower everyday women to embrace their beauty & femininity. We have combined our arts to create these completely unique pin-up photos.
Pin-up photography is inspired by classic Americana and is a great way to travel back in time. It transforms you into a glamorous vintage, retro or even modern pinup girl, one who's sexy yet somehow innocent. It's also a fun way to feel elegant, attractive, and just a bit naughty. Priceless Creations & Muñeca Mayhem present a unique photo experience for women of all ages, shapes and styles. We transform everyday women into classic pin-ups.
Makeup and hairstyles are very important to creating a great pin up photo, that is why we provide makeup and hairstyling in every session. Including authentic color, false eyelashes and hair accessories. This is the first step in bringing out your inner bombshell.
The next most important feature is clothing & props. Though we have a growing wardrobe it is impossible for us to accommodate all shapes & sizes so we ask that you bring an assortment of simple, retro inspired clothing, some may even be found in your closet. Your aim is to create an alluring hourglass silhouette. Have a look in vintage stores & online for genuine vintage items from these eras or look for recreations and inspiration (we have several links with reasonable priced pin-up clothing.) You can also find hidden treasures at the goodwill, helping hands & even your grandma's closet. Items to consider are: wiggle dresses, pencil skirts, heeled stockings, round toed pumps, 3/4 sleeve cardigans, high waisted capri pants & high waisted shorts - to name a few. Try to create your own unique look. Also throw in the traditional black dress, white button-up shirt, bikinis, lingerie, mini-skirts and any dress that look perfectly at home in the world of pin-up art. Think plunging necklines & lace trimmed thigh-high's. Do not forget to throw in several different neutral undergarments, give thought to control top and push-up. Even though your pin-up images should reflect a sense of sexiness, and playful teasing, nudity is not required. You never will be asked to pose in any manner that is unflattering, or makes you feel uncomfortable.
We have props and furniture, much like the classic pinup artists did, to create a funny, sexy and charming shot. We would like to create a themed shoot that reflects you and your life. An initial Pin-up survey & phone consultation will inspire your look.
You don’t have to be a flawless beauty or have the look of a model to have pinup style images. Many ordinary and everyday women have these images made for themselves or as one-of-a-kind gifts to celebrate birthdays, achievements, or anniversaries. It is especially popular to have a retouched pin-up album, or calendar made as a special surprise for loved ones.
